Fellowship Project: Blog Posting
After you watch the video and read the study notes below, answer these questions here:
What do you think you would do for God if you gave yourself over to Him completely?
What does it mean to you personally that Jesus said, “The least in the Kingdom is greater than John?
How does allowing God to minister through you change the way you may have thought about being ministered to by God?
How will you purpose to pray and connect intimately with God?
DISCUSS:
1. If you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, then what is it that appears to be limiting you? Why do you think the limitations are there?
2. What do you believe is hindering you in your finances, relationships, or health? Do you think God is moving you into another source of provision? Why do you believe that?
3. DISCUSS: If you can do all things through God who strengthens you, then God will not be mocked. What is the solution? Pray and intercede and hear from the Lord.
I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is
greater than he.”
— Luke 7:28 (NIV)
DISCUSSION:
The Lord put it on my heart a couple of years ago, and He told me, “All I need is just one person; one believer to agree with me.” He said, “Me and that person could change History.” It was so profound to me that God would trust like that, even if it were just one person.
We know and talk about all the different individuals in the Bible, like Noah, and think about what He did. How He built a boat, and it never rained, and how back then, people didn’t know what rain was because water came up from underneath the earth. We see that Noah only had a certain amount of time to build the Ark. We reflect on how he was a preacher of righteousness and that statistics show he might have preached for 100 years.
We look at these people in the Bible, and we think of how they changed everything. People like Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Esther, and Ruth. They all changed History, and they believed in God. We think about how John Baptized Jesus at the River Jordan and how Jesus brought John up to stand beside Him as He announced to the whole crowd, saying, “Up until now there has been no one greater than John the Baptist.” Can you imagine everyone standing there thinking, “He skipped over
Moses, Noah, Enoch, and Esther?” The Pharisees were probably thinking, “No, Moses is the greatest.” I’m sure it shocked people, but what Jesus was saying was that the Kingdom had shifted, and everyone that believed would be a part of the end time scenario.
The end times started when Jesus was crucified, and He was walking the earth. That’s why Paul was talking to the Thessalonians in 60 and 70 A.D. about the anti-Christ. Then, around 85-90 A.D., John was on the Isle of Patmos, and he saw the end. He had all those visions that we find in the Book of Revelation. The end-time scenario started right there at the cross because it was finished. Jesus didn't stop there. He said, “From now on, the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John.” After He had already said, up until now, “There's no one greater than John.” What He was saying is, “All of us, even if we were the least in the Kingdom, we're greater than Moses, we're greater than Abraham, we're greater than Noah. The least in the Kingdom is greater than John.” John is the greatest, period. That’s how powerful the resurrection was and how powerful Salvation is through Jesus Christ. It's so powerful that it flips everything to; everyone who believes is grafted in and comes into the Kingdom.
Jesus said to me, “If I can just find one person to believe and agree with me, we could change history together.” I chose to do that for Him. I chose to come back and be that one person that would just agree with Him. When I agree with Him, all I'm doing is allowing Him to manifest His Kingdom through me. Paul said, "Our bodies are not our own. It's as though Christ is borrowing my body and doing His Ministry through me.” Paul here is talking about Jesus Christ possessing him and taking him over and using his body for a certain number of years; then Paul would go to Heaven. That is the mentality of all the Disciples who became Apostles. It was the mentality of Smith Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, and Katherine Kulman. They no longer could make decisions for themselves. They were fully given over to God, and they were History makers.
What do you think you would do for God if you gave yourself over to Him completely?
What does it mean to you personally that Jesus said, “The least in the Kingdom is greater than John?
Matthew 6:10 TPT: Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in heaven.
• He’s talking about the part in The Lord’s Prayer; “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on the Earth as it is in Heaven,”
• However, in Matthew 6:10, He’s saying, “Manifest your Kingdom, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on the Earth as it is in Heaven.”
• The wording in The Passion Translation will help you understand that a believer on the Earth is someone who has given themselves over to allow God to manifest through them.
• I think about the last 20 years of my life and what I’ve seen in ministry; it’s as if we were looking at God ministering to us.
• I saw that we had this thought; “I’m going to go get ministered to, and I need a word, or I’m going to see what God is going to do for me.”
• In my mind and in Heaven, it was the other way around. I thought, “How can I give myself over to Him” so that God can manifest through me to minister to others?
• He wants to minister to others through us, and then others will minister to us by allowing God to manifest through them, which fulfills the body.
• When one person or one part of the body does not fulfill its purpose, the whole body suffers.
• Jesus tells us to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” If you don’t do this, then the kingdom won’t come on earth.
• Remember, the people asked Jesus how to pray, and He told them how. If it wasn’t necessary to pray that way and it was going to happen, why would He tell us to pray that way?
• We’re waiting for something to happen, and God is waiting for us to do something about it.
• Certain things in your life are not going to happen unless you pray.
• The only way to be productive here on earth is to let Him come in and manifest Himself through you.
• If He’s not doing it, then you don’t do it. He is always doing something.
• There is no spare time to waste, and we are far behind the curve and where we should be as the church on the earth. There’s plenty to do.
• The angels know that we have no time to waste and that the end time scenario must unfold in these last days.
• It’s the glorious church that arises without spot or wrinkle.
• God is saying we need more oil. We need to have more of the anointing so that we can expand.
